Hello Everyone. I live in South-East Kent and paddle the tidal Stour below Canterbury. Enjoy the peace and quiet paddling mid-week, ably assisted by my two terriers. Would like to undertake some camping trips in the future when I become a better paddler. I found it impossible to get any instruction for Canadian canoes in this part of the UK, so have been learning the hard way from a book!
Hope to see some of you on the water soon.
Welcome aboard Steve Wave Nothing wrong with learning from a book I did by reading Bill Mason's Path of the Paddle.
Just keep an eye out on the "out and about" section for meets, you will be made more than welcome Smile
Welcome to C-waV Steve. You'll be wanting more of those peaceful paddles after being on here for a bit! Wink Only kidding. There is a real easy relaxed atmosphere here which I'm sure you'll enjoy, and plenty of knowledgeable types to fire questions at. Not sure what kind of answers you'll get back but we live in hope. Smile

Thanks for joining and enjoy the forum.
Welcome Steve. Worked in Kent many years ago and got drunk on the banks of the Medway. That's my level of experience. sorry Rolleyes

Hi Steve and a warm welcome to the Forum, most has been said regarding keeping your eye out for meets and joining in, and as for camping we all love it, oh yeh and dont be shy at asking what might seem silly questions, just ask away, you will get mostly sensible answers and probably some not so sensible, all that's left for me to say is Welcome and Happy paddling, Regards Bill
Welcome to the CWaV family Steve, I guess with you joining we're nearly into France Wink Would be good if you can come along to some of the meets, you will be made very welcome. Happy paddling.
