Hi folks,

Apologies for my absence, I signed up on this forum when it first started but then with work and setting up a new business my canoeing got put on hold, but i'm glad to say i'm back with more enthusiasm than before, I had my first paddle last weekend down at Trent Lock (we took the scouts down there camping).
I'm just trying to source a roofrack for my VWT4 and then we'll be out on the water.

Regards,

Togger.
Wave Good to see you back mate, and even better to see you out on the water, when you coming over for a paddle then Question
These guys are very good based in Cumbria, when I was struggling for roof bars for my old Vitara they sorted me out with more than one choice.

Welcome back Togger, good to see you are paddling again Wave
Hey thanks guys for the welcome back.
Retro, only been talking this morning to Mrs Togger about planning a trip up to Coniston, i'll keep you updated, it will probably have to be a midweek trip though because of business comittments at weekends. Hopefully I will pick some up on the T4 forum at the "right price", but failing tht i'll check out your recommendation.

Spent last night out in the Tee-pee with my lad, closest we got to water though was the garden pond!!Shy Wanted to try out it's waterproofing, it held out quite well considering the amount we had.

Regards, Togger
love trent lock scout camp it a little breath of fresh air, anyway welcome back
Cheers Warthog. We had a really good weekend. The Saturday was really windy so the caoneing and Kayaking had to be done round the corner up one of the side rivers, made the sailing interesting though ( a few capsizes), Sunday morning was like a lily pond. Are you into the scouting scene then?
Welcome back Togger, just sold some T4 roof bars this week, not that you wanted to hear that. Genuine vw roofbars silly money, have just put roofrails from a peugot 406 estate on my van then got roofbars from halfards, Also on the T4 forum and used to moor the boat on the Erewash canal just up from Trent lock, Andy.
AAGH!! You're right not what I wanted to hear.

Whats your name on the T4 forum, i'll look out for you?

Welcome back to the land of the living Cheers
Well I ordered the roof bars last night and to make the day our group Scout Leader said there was an Old Town canoe in his garage he hasn't used for some considerable time, "go and pick it up if you want it"!!! yahoo!!joy
I'm busy planning the first outing on it. WIll probably be on a local canoe to try it out, but I can hear the hills a callin'!
