Sunday dawned bright and clear, and we were promised a glorious day's paddling and evening's festivities

The meet was so well organised we had a mobile enema unit on standby....

Sunday being the first "official" day of runs there were a few to choose from, Myself and Chris decided on the traditional Hereford to Site run, along with a number of others.

Anna found her dream home, Andy wanted to know how big the garage was....

The lunch stop was cut short by a determined herd of bullocks barging their way down to the waters edge...

And on the second leg Andy decided to go all Jed Clampet on us...

Anna saw the funny side...

It all got a bit too hot for some, and a swim was in order...

Soon enough we were back at the site, looking forward to the start of the festivities, how hard is it to attend a meeting....

When a Hog Roast is being carved, or Veggie chilli is being served up right next to you...

Everyone got tucked in....

And the kids were asked to practice, so that they could go out and hunt the next day's fare....

For me, the highlight of the evening was meeting Dennis, our Russian visitor, who had brought with him two types of Caviar and a bottle of pukka Russian Vodka. I'd never tried Caviar before, but love seafood and this went straight to the top of my list, Thanks Dennis, hope to see you at Mordi again soon...

From there on, the evening decended into darkness, where I was introduced by Tim to Martin the Martian (far right) and the "Charcoal Pencil Company" was formed, first order of business was to start the Research and Development as we tried until the small hours to turn wood into charcoal...for some strange reason, always failing..

We do something similar here on an annual white water event we do on the Similkameen River, it's called the pig run because they always roast a pig over a spit for the event.

A great mix of crafts on the water and perfect weather to compliment good company, great read..!
Another great day, Ahh the hat!, Anna insisted i wore it so she could catch up with her tan! Whistle
