Sunday 7th June.

Biff was awoken to the sound of rain bucketing down and the ominous rumbles of thunder. So much for the Birthday Paddle! Biff went back to sleep.

Biff was woke to the sound of rain bucketing down and the ominous rumbles of thunder. The Birthday Paddle. Biff was up and out, the BiffMobile loaded, and down to Cow Roast by five past nine (a bit late - beaten again by the fisherfolk). By now it had stopped raining, so I unloaded and got ready. By a quarter to ten, no-one else had arrived Sad, so Biff and no-one else paddled off. And the sun came out, the sky was blue, and all was well with the world joy.

The canal was quiet

at least until after lunch.

Reached the end of the Wendover Arm, got out and has a brew:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CwaV

Returned the way I came, accompanied by no-one else (again). When I got home, the heavens opened and it bucketed down.

All-in-all, a nice relaxing paddle.

Cheers

Biff
