hi phil
I use an Eckla Canoe Trolley to portage my canoe to & from the car & around obstacles that I can't paddle through.

I used my Eckla regularly, last on Friday to portage round a lock and across from canal to river at Rugeley with gear inside my 16ft symphony (heavy kit placed over the trolley) which made the exercise painless.
I thoroughly recommend one!

The Eckla one gets my vote every time, be careful of imitations
I have used one for years and never had a problem, even spares are readily available

I love my Eckla, as long as you look after it PROPERLY, it will give you years of service.
There's believed to be an underground "Pimp my Trolley" faction but they're difficult to track down....

Now THAT is one portage trolley....

Pitty the front spoiler end fences are illegal for this seasons trolleying....

And as stated previously, I'd be worried about those gnarly portages if I went in this direction.....
