I know this is a really stupid question, but when securing a RX boat in the standard way on a roof rack, can i pull the straps as tight as i do with my plastic boat. I must admit that when i do it with my Venture Prospector i pull the straps until i cant pull em anymore.

Would this damage a RX boat ?

Cheers,

The Hat.
RX is a bit sofeter so be careful with buckles as they could put a dent in the boat if its pulling hard onto the RX
Good advice Andy Wink

Paul, just pull the straps as tight as you do normally just feel when the boat does not move on your bars, should not do any harm if you do overtighten unless it is cold weather and then you can sometimes crack the gumwales Rolleyes
