This is the annual pilgrimage to run the section of the North Tyne from Barrasford down to Tyne Green in Hexham on the 6th - 9th November including the infamous Wardens Gorge section of G3+ WW.
There is a race for all classes, C1, K1, Open Canoe, Wavehopper, GP Kayak, check out the website
Tyne Tour warthog has run this a few times.
Could be a fun event for the WW minded.
Thanks Graeme.....Now where's me Calendar....
Anyone else up for this one....
Cheers
Red.
Thought about is last year.
Too cold

warning
although a great event and well worth supporting
be aware that the river is wall to wall plastic and if you can get in a pub it is standing room only and there will be a traffic jam at the get in's both days
if you like a peaceful paddle with a few buddys it might not be your thing
you need to be in the spirit of sharing the river with hundreds of others
Kayaks give way to canoes, or else
If you are racing you do have right of way.
We don't stop on Tyne Green we have found a nice camping/caravan site about 5 miles away with a decent pub just up the road.
sounds good G
now if you can arrange for an official last canoe down the gorge as a broadside to sweep aside the yakkers hogging the surf wave then i could be up for it. but i may need protection afterwards

We could always ask Stu to bring up the rear,,,, just in case
This is a couple of pictures of Adam on last years tour
See the kayakers paddling away
So the list starts
Heather

Andy?
Sorry John
Some great pictures there
I think over the last 9 years we have only missed the event twice, great atmosphere, although a little chaotic at Tyne Green due to the numbers, the freshers are all ways good for a laugh

Graeme can we go can we go???
Its a great weekend of paddleing think it must be time for me to do it with a single blade, would be great to see some of you there.

Matter of interest is anyone still going this year?
We are still hoping to attend, but will confirm later in the week.
