The "Frostbite" for the dates published is postponed for the time being.

There will be a "Frostbite" but it is felt that the dates make it too late to be a proper cold winter trip. So until I come up with a new date please consider these dates published here and on the C-waV calendar void!

Hi Nige

When we met at Rudyard you were asking about alternative sites at Bala. There is a good site on the railway side of the lake, it is lakeside and they also allow open fires. If you want more info the site is called Pant-yr-Onnen, Llangower, Bala Tel. 01678 520415 (Mr & Mrs Ieuan Roberts & Son). It seems to be a well kept site with a modern shower/toilet block. There is also the site I stayed at in the village at the bottom of the lake by the side of the railway. This is a larger but not over developed site that allows open fires in wheels. It has a large field with a couple of smaller areas and there is also some space to camp at the side of the river that runs into the lake. The only disadvantage to this one is that it is not lakeside, but it is only a few minutes drive from a free lakeside parking area with toilets. This site is called Bwch Yn Uchaf.
