While on holiday I spent a while mulling over whether to post up dates for 2010 for the four annual meets early. Well I came to the conclusion based more on my own circumstances than anything else, assuming that there are indeed a few out there which would prefer to know earlier rather than last minute, having to consider holiday entitlement and holiday rotas etc! Plus announcing next years dates early will hopefully go some way to prevent clashes.

So, here goes.

2nd C-waV "Frostbite" (only for the clinically insane) TBA

2nd C-waV "Spring" meet April 23rd to 25th

3rd C-waV "Annual Broads Summer Hoilday" July 31st to Aug 7th

3rd C-waV "Annual End of Summer" meet October 8th to 10th

There are no plans as to venues as yet, apart from the Summer holiday which will again be based at the Willowcroft campsite as previous years. The other two venues will be established in the near future.

I do not expect you all to start committing to 2010 yet, this is merely done to allow for more people to be made aware and maybe plan for, and for other organisers of other events too!

New details as of 02/01/10 - Nige

Seems like a popular suggestion there Stu.
I'd be quite happy with Windermere too for the "Spring" meet
Updated diary list for 2010.

Included in this revision. Dates for the "Frostbite". You'll notice, those that made it to the first one, that it is over a month later! Whistle

Hi Nige, very good, but the date for the frostbite Meet is really a little late for Grizz and I, as we come down from the snow line around early to mid February and its the only time one can hear the plaintif cry of Grizz, which is, "Me Feet are Cold".

Sorry to say tnat one mountain man won't be able to make the 'frostbite' Sad March 11th is a certain significant birthday and will have to be celebrated with the family.

Just a reminder. The Info and attendees thread for the 2nd "Frostbite" meet is open in the "Out n about" section.
Hi all,
The "Spring" Meet for 2010 will be based at Bala again!

I've settled on using Bala because it offers both lake flat water and the the Afon Tryweryn is only a short distance away for some White water action for those seeking a rush. Plus due to its shallowness close to shore is a safe haven for the youngsters to take to boats.

Keep an eye open for the organising and attendance thread early in the new year.
The upper section of the Tryweryn will not be available 6/7th March but the lower section should be runable Wink
Thanks Graeme for the heads-up. I'll include this info within the organise/attendee thread when I put it up.
