We are thinking of visiting Lewis, Harris (and Skye) in September.
Plan is a bit of site seeing, fishing, some surfing etc. However, is any sheltered bays or stretches that I could take the boat on - flatish water rather than bouncing around all over the place? Might even consider fishing form the boat.

We spent a couple of weeks there in May. Incredible place, you will not be disappointed.
There is sheltered water a plenty, but would suggest the Cnip campsite and Loch Rog, have a look at the pictures on

Sadly not, I just enjoy the superb photography on the site and find it useful looking for places to visit.
