Canoe with a View : : Canadian Open Canoe forum

I'll be leaving Cumbria in a few days time to go to work in Sweden. It's not a permanent job as I'm a contractor, but I'm hoping to be there long enough to make an negative impression on their GDP.

I'll be working in Halland County, SW Sweden, and as this area isn't as cold as further north, I'm hoping that the lakes and rivers won't freeze over.

Has anyone here paddled in that area, or somewhere nearby? Any information on places to paddle and canoe rental will be very welcome.
