I recently bought a OT Disco 158. I baptised it in Windermere and was just so happy! The thing glided over the water and not even the metal monster of the MV Swan could threaten to overtern me. Big Grin

I know it's a simple, sturdy boat - perhaps not for the skilled WW adventurist but, for me it was bliss. I could be out there all day, complete with aching arms and numb bum. Shy

I realy like my boat - whether I'll grow out of it I don't know but, I know for now me, the wife and 2 kids will be more than happy... Smile
Nothing wrong with an OT Disco. They're responsible for introducing many a paddler to canoeing. Its what me and the kids started with, albeit an old and well used one. My eldest son and daughter still use it when we're all out together! Agreed, sturdy certainly, and very stable!
Hi Keb, first a warm welcome to the forum must have missed your introduction, you seem to have found the boat (Canoe) that gives you all you need, now that cant be bad, even with aching arms and sore bum, I was taken with your enthusiasm and Zest, and to be able to share with your family is quite something, Welcome To the Cwav Family.
Happy and safe Paddling, Regards Bill
Hi Keb.

I "cut my teeth" in a disco, some time ago.

Bomb proof and capable.

Here's to many adventures.
