Some where along the river my WNN P15 was attacked by a water vole brandishing some kind of medieval battle axe, this critter caused a nasty gash which penetrated into the foam core ( it looked pretty bad to meSad)
I pondered on how to repair it as soon as I saw the damage.
In the booklet We-no-ah supplied it recommended that "shoe go" to repair Royalex. I hadn't got that but what I did have was some Seam-grip seam sealant and outdoor repair adhesive here is a link to their website
To fill the gap I first dried it out, then applied the sealant left it to cure. I then rubbed it down and applied some more and I have repeated the process, the repair is not quite finished yet but I am pleased with how it is turning out.

Cheers
Tim
Valuable information thanks Wave

Hi Tim, sorry to hear about the damage, but you seem to have it all under control, Pesky little Water Vole, I think I know Weir he lives, will give him a good talking too next time I'm in the area.

Tim. Why do you think Redframe always slows down for water voles? Big Grin

Should I respect them, or will it be war?

Sorry Tim, but......

Respect you as I do for your knowledge of waterborne beasties.....

YOU ARE WRONG....

The Voles are a peacfull, endangered, race that will only get agressive if provoked, and backed into a corner....They NEVER carry Battle Axes, but are very good with throwing knives.....Rolleyes

I think what you have encountered is an undercover MINK, masquerading as a Vole......Wink

Cheers
Red.

Didn't have time to get some, although the seam sealant is more viscus so I guessed that it would grip the roylex pretty well. (that's my excuse for using it)
Next time I see Dave I'll grab a stick. Or better I'll try harder not too bash me boat.

cheers
Tim
