i got these 2 kayaks / canoes given and have no idea what they are... ive never used one before, never really even thought of using one untill i got them given.... any one know if they are worth anything? im thinking about selling one to a mate, but im really clueless as to what they would even be worth?
thanks in advance
They look like fibre-glass slalom boats to me.
I dont know a great deal, but I do know that my Dad bought two old fibre glass boats ... he didnt use them and eBayed them ... I thought they were worthless, and one of them was, but the slalom boat went for £100 or more!
Hi mate welcome to C-wav. First please drop an intro in the "Say Hello" section it helps make everyone including yourself feel more at ease, and its polite. Second, I'm moving this to the canoes section as it's a post asking for info rather than general chat.
Thirdly, know less about kayaks than I do about canoes, so can't help with the ID of these two. However, quite a few of the members on here have kayaks too and no doubt will be along soon to answer your questions.
In the meantime, enjoy C-waV.
Hit the WW section you will be in company with GillD, MarkD, Redframe, Graham & the Clan as well as one or two others.
2012 slalom olympic team for you?
The rabbit, with a tilley lamp? Hmm

Good to have you along for the trip.
Definately slalom kayaks, (usually made of composite material, as these appear to be). Can't ID them but they're both good looking craft.

Kevlar slalom boats, season is pretty much over now...so store them until next year.....
One's certainly a 4 metre boat which would, really, only appeal to an aged paddler that's used to using one......
The other looks like an early short boat....
Value would be what they brought on e-bay.....
Greame and the crew will be able to identify them, they're certainly after my time, and before I started up again...
I'd suggest that you use them and come join us on some of our Div 3/4 outings.....
Cheers
Red.
They are North Shore Slalom Kayaks, great boats in their day circa 1980's and very well built, in fact we still have one (I think).
As for price well what ever you feel is right probably fetch £50.00 on fleabay.
