On our CCC weekend we paddled three rivers and two canals, we used the canal locks, the question is... how many boats did we get into a lock.
Only one rule, nobody from the meet can guess.
The prize is the bragging rights only.
Cheers

Canalvoyageur Guess 14 Assuming Normal Locks.
Did you double decker?
28
I've just had a flash of the number 10
So I'm trusting my instinct on this...
...11

15

Just had another Thought, oh yes I do think now and again at least Twice a week.
Right, 1 lock x 70' x 7' Divided by 16' canoes, counting in some 15' and possible a couple of 12' and a couple of K**k's, equates to 16, so Mr Adjudicator will you please accept my revised answer to Total 16.(Sixteen) Phew !
That's it Ive overdone it that's three times already this week.
Best regards Bill
all boats were in the water so no double decking,
Keep on guessing
Cheers

to put you all out of your misery 'll post the answer on my 400th post!
Where numbers are involved I usually go for 69, but I guess you won't have had that many in. I'll go for a number between 6 and 9 = 7.
Did I win?

The question is was it a big lock or a small lock?

It was on the Staffs and Worcester Canal and according to the Nicholson inland waterway map it is about 7ft wide by 70ft long. we did fill the lock.
no more clues as I have run out of posts until my 400th.
