Nice, Very nice...

What camera/lens do you use...Question

Cheers
Red.
Hi Red

Camera is a Canon 1Ds, lenses vary from a selection ie
24mm TSE, 45 TSE, 17-40mm L, 70-200mm L, 100mm Macro, and an old 50mm 1.8.

All the above are from the 70-200mm L
I've got quite a few lenses and the old Minolta tucked away in the wardrobe, I was thinking about investing in a replacement Digital SLR body...

Any recommendations or things to look for...Question

Cheers
Red.
Top stuff Mark. Excellent photos.
Looks a lovely part of the country.

If you don't mind I'll move this thread into the photography section where I think it deserves its own space.

I only really know Canon kit...

This may help

If you do not need an SLR the the G11 seems to be a cracking camera

I know pros who have this in their camera bag as a backup camera.

stepping up these two are good cameras

My daughter has the 450d and it is a good bit of kit for the money.

Main tip is get the best lenses that you can afford, a good sensor with a kit lens is a waste IMHO
Thanks for the links....Smile

I've already got the Olympus point and press, which I'm VERY happy with, I was just looking at getting something to use with the current lenses and filters I have....Carl Zeiss if I remember rightly...

Whooooshhhh..., sorry that one went straight over my head..., by sensor do you mean camera body...?

Cheers
Red.

you will need to check but I think some old minolta lenses fit the new Sony cameras, sony took minolta over

Talk to steve at http://www.ffordes.com he will know more

The sensor is the bit the light lands on and is then converted to a picture, ie the bit that replaced film.
Lovely pictures Mark Wink
