Well in order to give you all time to sift through the mirriad of fantastic photo's you've all taken this year, and so that our newer members have time to get off the starting blocks (especially those attending the EoSM).
It is time to open the 2009 C-WaV Photographic Competition.

This year we're going to have Four Categories...
1. From Yer Boat (or In Yer Boat)
2. Beasties (or Nature)
3. Landscapes
4. Shinanigans
All entries to have been taken in 2009.
All images to have been taken either, on a Canoe trip, or while travelling to/from/around a paddle, so a photograph from walk along the riverbank with your dog is not eledgible for entry.
All images should be given a title, not on the image, just in the entry post.
By entering an image you are granting free and full license (70 yrs) for C-WaV to use that image in anyway it sees fit.
Entries will close at 00:00:01 hrs on 01/01/10.
A committee of 3 C-WaV members will review the entries and select 10 images for each category to be presented to 4 independant Judges.
The committee will decide on the category an image will be entered into (all entries will be placed in a category, some may not fit exactly).
Each Judge will assign points to each image in a category, 1 point for the least favoured upto 10 points for the most favoured.
The points awarded by each Judge will be added together to find the Winner and runners up for each category.
I have something special in mind for the Overall competition Winner, and will choose the overall winning image from the four category winners, and present that entrant with the overall prize. I'm also hoping that we will have a few other prizes too by the time January comes around...
You can enter as many images as you like (within reason!), but a maximum of four images per person will be put forward by the committee to the independant judges.
Committee members cannot take part in the competition.
Judges will not be members of the C-WaV community.
The results will be posted up on the forum at 21:00 on 03/01/10.
No prizes will be subject to guarantee, refund or exchange, either by C-WaV, or any sponsor.
Can any volunteers for committee members PM me...
