I'm off to a meet on another forum on Friday (Not paddling), and have been pointed towards a Camp etiquette list that they created...
I figured it would be interesting to see what we would come up with when posed with a similar question, not rules as such, but information that would be helpful for those new to paddling in groups.
For instance...
1) When approaching bumpy/fast flowing stuff space out to give yourself and others room to manouvre.
2) Do not add plastic to the fire until AFTER everyone has finished cooking.
3) Turn Head Torches off before sitting at the fire and when talking to people.
Feel free to add to the list...
Cheers
Red.
Hi Red, yeh very good No 3 0n your list reminds me of Grizz and I we have to keep reminding each other, we have got to point scoring now, cant remember who is where though.
But a valid point of etiquette non the less.
All the points you have highlighted are valid, and in general are observed, I dont think I have attended any meet and felt any lack of consideration for each other, certainly not intentional anyway.
------------------------HEALTH WARNING-----------------------------
On a lighthearted but could be construed as serious, whilst Camping/Hammocking with me present,
1/ If you like to sleep in after DAWN, and dont wish to be disturbed, please avoid pitching next to me, ( Ask Grizz )
Best Regards Bill,
