I will be braving the release on the 13th December at the Washburn as mentioned in other threads. Thought I'd start this to make a concise list of those who may be interested. So far:
Windy
Notsooutrageddave
Graeme/Heather?????
I will be taking a kayak and my raft. (If you you type too fast you end up with 'fart' rather than 'raft'!).This is a two man affair and can be padldled by those who have no WW experience...anyone fancy a blast in it? It will only fit into some of the eddies as they are fairly tight on the Washburn but it should be a hoot. I would look to arrive about 1000 am to allow a leisurely start and a brew folowed by a warm lunch in the car park. The good thing about the Washburn in that you can run either the top section and walk back to the car park for a brew or run the full length and shuttle back for a brew; either way, a good strong coffee is never far away.
Cheers, Windy
Sounds like a ball to me...
I've put meeself down as a mibbie, although I've not got a stubbie so it's the raft for me....

Dope Rope - or is it Knitting lessons?
no ill be enjoying my other favourite past time of swimming in the river due to now owning a proper dry suit.
p.s. do i have to count the swims i take on the wws&r for the league table or not????
Just thought I would post this vid of the Washburn. just to show how much fun it is if you haven't been there before. I know it's mostly Kayakers but there is one guy in a Canoe and he's prity good. I shot this in the summer sometime. Well I hope it posts anyway.

Nice one Dave, I have seen that CU Fly there a few times.
Defiantly a short boat river
Mind you we could try out Windy's new Mega on there when he gets it, it would fit in well with the background

The background at the start is truly awesome. As much as I would like to go for a pink/purple boat, I ahve gone for something very different...to be shown about february time.
As for the Washburn; still not many names. Surely there must people out there gagging for a bit of 'rubber in hole' action?
Cheers Windy
I will have to see if I can get out for the day........still very tempted to take the 14 apache down the run.

Cheers, Windy
The tap will be turned on at 1000. I am hoping to be there a short time before to blow up the raft and to get a pot of coffee on (Tea for those who prefer it).
See you in the car park.
Cheers, Windy
Hope you have plenty of puff, mind you I have heard that you are used to blowing up rubber things
