Grab yourself a thin branch about as thick as your finger and whittle it to fit.

squeeze the wire ends together and slip it on the branch, then skewer the food, place over or next to a fire

turn occasionally and watch as it cooks to perfection

Is it worth having? Well it's not something that you would be lost without if it went west! But for sitting around the camp fire etc it is great for a snack be it crumpets a sausage or a marshmallow any thing within reason really.
I've got one of those. It came from a Secret Santa off SoTP a couple of years ago. I haven't used it anger yet though.

Nice wee blog Tim, judging by the state of the pooch was it recent?
T'was done today Nige, found a nice sheltered area under a pine tree in the woods and sat there for about an hour suppin Bovril and chillin' out. Oh and eating a sausage. Ozzy (the mutt) was having a good old rummage around the woods.

cheers
Tim
Nice one Tim, in both the fork and your little chill out in the woods, going back a post or two, Cabin Fever really had got a grip. But well done mate.
