Went to paddle the Dart loop yesterday, never seen it that high, did not fancy trying my luck in a trad boat.
We went down to Matlock yesterday for a slalom training session and the Derwent was well high, you could not use the normal get off as the water was flowing too fast by the steps.
Travelled down to South Wales this morning
Both the Servern and the Wye have spectacularly breached their banks into fields and woodlands like I have never seen before
With the sun coming up through the mist on this still morning it was a panorama to revel in.

Did Avon on Sunday, Stratford to Bidford, normally 6 weirs, first was only small drop with a nice wave that the kids in our group in washing-up bowls played in. After that flat all the way, you could even paddle over the top of some of the lock gates! I'm sure at one point we were in someones back garden! Nice paddle though, and as usual forgot camera.
