As the "Frostbite" gets closer, I've had a thought about doing some fishing from the canoe. Yes I know what you'll say! But I was brought up in a family of anglers and spent a number of years fishing and even match fishing for a time. However, I have not touched my tackle Shy for years, I think the last time was some 17 years ago and as I have promised Luke since goodness knows when that I'll take him one day, I thought what better than combine the two.

Anyway, to the question. I do still possess a lot of fishing tackle, but would like to know from those anglers on here. Where do you buy the rod licences nowadays? You used to get them from the post office, thats how long it is since I've fished.

Now crouching behind the sofa.
Hi Nige I Assume that by License you mean a Rod Licence, if so you now obtain from The Environment Agency Tel; 0800-80-70-60 or Purchase on line @ http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/fish
What you request is Licence for Coarse and Trout Rod Licence. not sure of cost as I get concession rate.
Tip as Im sure you will know, Time of year for Pike, lure fishing.
Spinning is good from Canoe, especially if one paddles and one spins if you know what I mean.
Regards Bill
They sell them over the counter at the post office now. It made much more sense when you could just pick it up from the tackle shop whilst your were getting bait.
Otherwise you can get it online from the environment agency I think. I get mine by direct debit so it just comes in the post every year.
Thanks everyone for the quick answers. I'll pay the Post Office a visit before we go.
