Well whats a bunch of frost bitten canucks supposed to do when the water is frozen and the canoes are packed away for the season? Get together for a little camping to talk about canoeing.......
So after soliciting from a couple of canoe forums we got eleven brave souls to show up at Valens Conservation Area for a weekend of tall tales and cold ales! The week prior had been questionable, lots of snow and temps down to around -25 c with the windchill but mother nature sorta cooperated and warmed up to -8 C for us, would have been really nice to have had more snow though, a couple of days of above 0 temps had melted the snow back to juast a few inches which can make for uncomfortable sleeping. Trust me, I'd rather pitch a tent in 2 feet of snow than on frozen rock hard ground! Anyway, heres a few pics http://www.thecampfireonline.com/app...lbumid=7946497
