Sorry I don't have any proof but he was wet when he got off the water on Saturday. Sunday's swim took him a while to confess I think its now been blamed on all the alcohol on Saturday night.

An exellent afternoon with Lee and the Bury canoe club at JJ's, Llangollen.
Following the yaks, and there were plenty of them,in their playboats, down the 'drop' instead of the more suitable route for canoes I qualified in quite a spectacular way for an entry in the swim league.
Lee just filled up with water as he did keep upright!

I needed an entry this year to maintain my 100% record over the years

"The Swim League" was started when Jammy swam on a "New Year's Day" C-WaV paddle in 2009...

The person that starts the New C-WaV Year's Swim League 2011, promises to administer it, and to provide a "suitable" trophy at the end of the year... (the 2009 one cost about £7.00 including engraving... )

This was quoted in the post about this years swim league - if there is to be one.

If this is the rule then it looks like the award will not have been 'presented' for 2010. Sorry for this oversight, but I will honour Graeme's commitment in starting the thread - just need a bit of time to get something 'appropriate' sorted.

Looking at the posts it appears the winner is ................. MarkD ......... unless you know anything different!!

Oh dear - Please tell me someone swam before I did two on our dee trip earlier this year!

Ok so it has taken some time but finally we have done it!

We first of all acquired a suitable trophy ...........



We then had a long wait before the trophy and the recipient happened upon being in the same place!

This happened at HPP on Saturday morning, so here is the award now with it's rightful owner .......
