I do hope Stu has the sense to fit buoyancy tanks in it Wink

That would be one hell of a lot of money sitting at the bottom of a lake!

will have the weight tomorrow , its light, i can pick it up with one hand ( just)but it still needs seats and decks etc

It's lookin' good
Hi Stu

The entry line still seems a bit blunt? Surely using that layup you could have got a cleaner sharper bow and stern?

Are you going to fit some buoyancy tanks?
Yay......joy

YAY....joy

Gotta get close to it....Smile ...

When can I try it, I've got some of Graeme's airbags so well be OK....joy

hi Graeme

you cannot change the shape of the canoe with out changing the mould , ive only had one person refuse to buy a boat because of the shape

buoyancy wise ,its bags or barrels or blocks

cheers

Same as the Venture range then.... Smile

And bags are gonna be FAR bigger than built in tanks, and therefore more bouyant.......Question

A damn fine looking craft Stu. Cool
Will we see them on the list or will you see what demand is? Maybe you have had interest already?

When's the demo open day? Wink

Yes but a Venture will float as it has inherent buoyancy as will a Royalex or TT or SP3 boat, a Kevlar hull even with wood gunwales will not! Look at Windy's thread about his Mega. A couple of built in buoyancy tanks would negate the need for unsightly airbags in a potentially light boat, especially as it will be a flat water boat and should not need big blocks or airbags.

All it would need is a couple of small sheets of double layer Kevlar at each end with a bung in it to release the air when hot and to empty any condensation from the tank.

Hey but what do I know, I have only designed Carbon Kevlar competition racing boats!
pic of the Mega i fitted out a couple of months ago ( with no tanks )

I could fit the tanks front and rear but personaly i have a barrel with me at all times with my keys ,camera etc and do not feel the need ( i recommend this to customers unless they are doing moving water )

I do take advise from many different sources (boat builders , competion paddlers , coaches etc )when building and fitting out the boats and constantly update how things are done
