Well no snow or ice today, but still shiver

Not a lot to tell except that there was two good training sessions and some great rolling by Iain Wink

Matlock was popular today with about three groups of kayakers making the most of the water, but undaunted Iain and Heather made the most of the day.

Hi Graeme, in the first vid, that was Heather turning by edging at least once and not using the paddle much?

This edging stuff, tried it in my Prospector yesterday....damn thing went in a straight line, it must be a habit of mine 'cus I always paddle heeling it over, unless that is until I hit the bubbley stuffCool

Cheer

Yep spot on Tim, she uses her edges most of the time for turning, kayak, canoe & SWWC sometimes using a single stroke to set the boat up, other times no stroke at all!

It can depend on the boat sometimes, some are more responsive to edging than others, but it does work Wink

Iain as I told you going through the wave sideways cools you down enough with out having to get your hair wet or using more energy Spy duck

Tim Paddles are over rated, you should be able to put your boat where ever you want with out using your paddle, its all in your edge control and position in your boat.

I do, I never use a paddle when chucking boats on carsShy

seriously tho' I am that used to heeling my prospector over it will be a hard habit to break. Will try in my spec boat and yak once I get them into moving water..................I suppose it would work on a wave in the sea?????

Cheers
