Rising in Yorkshire, in the midst of the beautiful Peak District National Park, the River Don flows for 70 miles through Sheffield and the Pennines until it meets the River Ouse at Goole.
There are a couple of interesting trips with information, one from Stocksbridge to Oughtibridge not ideal for opens, more info here and the other from the Centre of Doncaster to Barnby Dun again more info here.
You can paddle from Sheffield to Doncaster, if you do avoid the weir at Sprotborough as it has some nasty spikes in it along with a tow back, worth switching to the canal at this point
