Help required.....

I recently purchased uprights for my roof bars to transport two canoes in a more secure and comfortable manner.

They work well with two boats on top.

I am having problems securing a single boat in the same manner...It moves through the straps sliding constantly.

What is the best and preferred method of securing or should I not use the uprights for a single craft?
It is certainly easier to carry a single boat flat on your bars, although it can be carried against the uprights, all you need to do is to strap back to the opposite side of the upright either with the loose end or with another strap to stop straps and the boat slipping. If you have some pipe lagging or a set of these [Image: roofrack_protectors_MS215_450.jpg]

it stops the boat slipping so much on the roofbars.

Another top tip from your friendly canoe store Wink
I know you have probably solved your problem but here's how I did mine.

Paddles, boyancy aids and ropes all store in the roof box.

Not had any stability problems rigged as it is.

It's like having a big sail on top, it can get a bit hairy with strong gusts and fuel takes a hit too.
