anyone got any ideas if I can by a kit to fit out my shaman with a bulkhead type outfitting, so I can get shot of this harness which I find a bit awkward, or is it a case of just buying a sheet of minicell foam and fiddling about. cheers Mark
Big G's yer man, sure he'll be along soon....Wink

Cheers

Hi Mark

This THREAD may give you a few ideas Wink

But would be happy to discuss this for the Shaman outfitting as we have done a similar thing on other SWWC's
Cheers for the replies, it looks like it is going to be a do it yourself kit then, it just seemed that Kelvin Bob Sally ect on the tryweryn trip got into there boats easier with no straps, using a bulkhead/thigh brace setup, while I was fiddling around bouncing up and down trying to get the straps from under my knees. everyone was quite unanimous in the thought that this was the way to go.
It is all down to personal choice, the straps in that Shaman were not set up for anyone in particular so they may not be in the right place for you? Plus if memory serves me right it is only a single Mohawk lap-strap in that boat not the twin one!

Have you fitted any side walls and hip blocks yet?

In answer to your question to make a bulkhead make a cardboard template first before cutting any foam Wink or if you get stuck we can outfit it for you.
it is a single pad with 2 straps, it is not that it does not hold me in posittion it is more the fact that it is harder to get into than a bulkhead design, I may get used to it but was advised to change it, by others, I am just a bit worried that at some point I will go of backwards down something that I dont want to whilst Kneeling on my straps because I washed out of an eddy before I was ready. I have enough problems when I am ready!
