That's a bummer, I am looking forward to meeting you and the rest of the guys

Hope you get a paddle somewhere anyway.
I have just brought my dog back from the vet, she had a toe amputated because of skin cancer.
Problems keep arising:
The BiffMobile is very sick (again

), so I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to make it this weekend. I'll keep you informed when I get more information, but the Car Doctor is looking into it.
Biff
Well i'm defo still in, my boy too. Will be at hml by 10 and getting a brew on for first arrivals.

I assume that you mean 10 am Sat.
A quick head count suggests;
Petey + 1
Me - Baggy - not camping, unless I can borrow a tent which I am trying to do.
Tod
Fingers crossed for Biff
Shaje - possible?
I may consider opening this up?
I'll be there nice'n early sat morning. Only for 1 night as I have work on Monday. Decided to be a ground dweller this trip, under a tarp. Ooh the luxury of a roof over my head instead of just a bivvy bag.
Slight change of plan for me.
Tom is going to his 2nd morning of Beavers and finishes at 10.30, I'll be at HML at 11am. I don't know which of us is more excited about it!
Not wishing to then do all my unloading at that time and try and catch up with you lot, I'm going to arrive on the friday night and get myself all sorted out so that when SWMBO drops us off on the saturday morning we can just throw the boat in and chase you (upstream).

My arrival will be about 10:45, I have just been told that the first person on site will be give a key to the gate BUT there is a £10 returnable deposit. If the first to arrive can handle that the rest of us can chip in when we arrive?
I quick local weather check "suggests"
Saturday - dry start possibility of showers later in the day
Sunday - start wet, dry afternoon and evening
Monday - dry all day
'Fraid I'm a No-Show for this trip - car won't be ready until Wednesday at least.
Sorry Guys - next time, with luck.
Biff
PS. May try and get over for a Sunday paddle later in the month, if anyone is interested.
Well I'm back home after kipping at HML last night. lovely little campsite and I'm going back for 11am regardless of weather - I don't mind sitting it out if it is too wet...
If you arrive before I get there, the key to the gate is under my coffee cup get the fire going and make yourself a brew!
important info:
-keep the camp down the far end and no further up than the nearest of the 5 trees.
-don't go over the blue gate.
-don't go past the toilet block (opposite the widebeam)
-don't bother the people in the house.
-lock keepers (in widebeam) won't be around til 5-6pm, at which point they'll come and pay us a visit.
-keep the gate locked.
-don't worry about licences - Steve is happy for us to get them all off Sue @ papermill lock. anyone that challenges us for licences can be told: "steve & June know about the situation, call them if you're concerned"
-key deposit waived.
see you there!
Great stuff, I am leaving here at 10:15 to arrive 10:30
