Hello all, I have just returned from an enjoyable day on Windermere. I had planned to go fishing with my brother but called it off last night due to the worsening wind forcast for Blackpool, so we went to the lake instead. We launched at Bowness public slipway. My brother was going to be testing the second 2xl I'd bought for my family. We can get all 5 of us on the water now.

The conditions were really calm, and we headed off to the river at the bottom of the lake, enjoying the views and teaching my brother how to use the drogue -

Then a lunch spot at the beginning of the river - just reversed into the reeds!

Some anchor practice on the way back up to Bowness

and self rescue practice

Finally off home after 12 1/2 miles paddling. A great day out in really good weather.
