Right, with the above weekend being the first one I've got free, I'm planning on going and doing the bright shiny new Weaver Valley Canoe Trail, from Winsford Flash down to Runcorn Canoe Club..

It's 18 miles and there's a rumour that it's a two day trail... More to follow as information becomes available....

Anyone fancy joining me....joy

Cheers

Hi Simon

Could be up for that, we have the weekend free at the moment.

Let us know when you get any more details.

I have more details....Wink

The route can be viewed here...

There is a campsite, but the details aren't listed on the documents I have, or on the website, I'll dig it out....

Pontoons a plenty, but you'll need a trolley....Wink

So, it's a two day trip, Saturday/Sunday meeting at Winsford flash about 10:00 and finishing at Runcorn Rowing Club on Sunday....

Cheers

Hopefully be able to join you for one day, probably the first, if someone can get me back to my car from the campsite

No promises but we might have a "C-WaV ANGEL" around.....Wink

Hi guys, I would be really keen to do this.

Especially since I am a Winsford resident, it would be rude not too!Wink

It certainly would Neal... You're more than welcome to join us, keep your eye on the thread for more info...

P.S. It'd be rude not to attend the C-WaV annual New Year's Day Paddle 2011 too..... Big Grin

Bugga! A week before Norfolk. Sad

If I could get this past the commandant how quickly could we patch up all the holes in a GRP canoe on the bankside Shy

I think I'll stay at home and wait for the TT... it'll be far safer.

No rocks on the Weaver Nige, it's canalised...Wink

No probs with the Friday
Simon

Sorry not been in touch since we did the Slea - had a good Monday in the Fens and have also done 3 days in the Broads since then.

I could well be up for the Weaver but don't have a trolley yet - can always pick one up if you think it's an absolute - please advise length of max portage so I can decide.

regards

Andrew
