Thwart bag, bum bag, man bag or possibilities bag call it what you will, but this is what I have bought and I have found it useful for just grabbing and going.

Right I'll start this back yard review with this comment I am sure it was mentioned on C-WaV by Biff thanks Biff.

The permanent contents are not yet finalised as I've not had it long but you'll get the gist.

Okay the bum bag/thwart bag is made by Snugpac and is caled the Response pack I got mine from the 'tinternet and from DD hammocks (a company I have both heard of and dealt with no other connections)
£15 aint that bad for a quality piece of kit.
Right there are quite a few other reviews on "tinternet and other info on it here
So I won't waffle on too much. What bit caught my eye was the handle with the "snap shut" clasps which enables you to attach it to a thwart....
like so..

In the main compartment I have my poncho (Mr March fame)my head torch, a toilet trowel, a saw, a knife, a spoon knife, a tripod for the camera and a 1st aid kit for when I stab myself with the said knife.

In the front pocket are my tools and stuff,

Scissors, zip ties, spare batteries, twine, bike multi tool, swiss army style (cheap copy) micro screwdriver/awl, 2 x sharpening stones,a small torch and a lighter.
in one of the side pockets I have my fire starting kit, the now famous pot of "Justin" (petrolium jelly and cotton wool) a flint and steel and a lighter.

in 'tother pocket is.......hand sanitizer, sun screen and insect repellent, I also keep a pack of tissues in here but used them up.

Some stuff I am considering adding are .....pain killers (anadin extra) some thing for dodgy bellies, and allergy tablets (hayfever and such like) so there you have it my review.

Cheers
Tim

Good review, Tim. Often wondered about getting the Snugpak Responce as a thwart bag - you've convinced me. The colour will also go with my canoe.

Great minds, they say, think alike!!*
