Hello Guys and Gals,

Im after some info, The Girlfriend and I are planning a trip to the Lake District in September. We will be looking at having a cottage for 5 days. Has anybody got any ideas/locations that they like? I really want somewhere i can paddle and get away from it all for a day!

Cheers all
Going to Coniston in a couple of weeks - staying in a cottage at Sunny Bank (just over from Peel Island), for a week.

Try LakeLovers -but there are probably many others.

Biff staying in a cottage - you getting soft mate. Was expecting you to stay in a cave and live off anything you can kill with a swiss army knife.

Got me spouse to think of - the cottage has a lakeside garden, which might be useful. Breakfast on Peel Island, anyone?

Tell me more. The Lady J-D and I are looking for an escape at the end of September.
Seal launching off a manicured lawn sounds ace.

You had better let us know how many tents you can erect in the back garden.
And not forgeting the 100 or more canoeists who will descend on Ullswater for the tipi W/end of the 12th September. joyjoyjoy I'm going to be sat in my canoe at Pooley Bridge, If they all launch at once the displaced water heading down the River Eamont will rival the Spey in spate. WWWWWW Mike.
