Hi chaps, back from Pencelli, even know how to pronounce it now!
So to come back on the points you all mentioned:
1) Enjoyed the loos, even had muzak though when camped in the meadow they are a bit of a trek to get to
2) To get to the canal -it is possible to scramble down at various points as depictedin marks picture. However, with a canoe, the third arrow ( also mentioned by Fran) is a gentle slope to a a flat area by the canal where we launched from. You can also launch by exiting the campsite, walking down the road to the bridge and down some steps to the canal, but the path from the campsite itself was way easier and much closer
3) Didn't see any squirrels (saw some smaller critters but couldn't identify them - my daughter said "perhaps its a stoat or a measel" meaning weasel.
4) Only noise was the bleating of sheep and there were plenty of those
5) There are trees on the campsite but none positioned for hammocking as they are either too close to the road or "in the rough" areas of the campsite
Will post some pics in the Trip Tales section soon
