I will give you some back ground info....

Twas back at Hereford when the Md of Magizmo and the Chief designer from D.S industries gazed upon............
This...

A plan was born......
Clive with his contacts said he could possibly supply some steel tubing for me to make a tripod......

A few weeks later I had a message come across the Magizmo hyper lappie.
Your Tripod is ready can you pick it up? yes came the reply.
In a shady rendezvous in a dodgy part of Woolyhampton the tripod exchanged hands.
Now the review....

All i had expected was six pieces of tubing, that will I would make into a telescopic tripod, What I got was this.......

A bundle of tubing wrapped with velcro tabs.

with the wraps unwrapped the tripod opens out to this...

Using the latest push button technology........

The legs pull out to this....(trangia used for scale)

The legs are held in place thus....

The pot height is controlled by an ingenuous pin system...

Not for light weight camping, but saying that I'm no light weight camper although not reached CV's status and I doubt if I ever will.

A BIG thanks to Clive for this I really appreciate it.Smile

Sorry this is a one off , all the part's i find as i go a long . the ring i found at work, the push button clips come from kid's micro scooters handle bars.and the tube and bushes from a fiend when he is working with it, the chain i just had lying around, the hook i bend from some small coated rod i had,the pin a bit thicker rod just cut and drilled, so it cost nothing to make just the time about hour.
clive d.s
That's a great job you've done there clive, as for the weight issue, if others (or even you tim) wanted to make one for themselves they could use these images to build one themselves but rather than using steel (which im guessing its made of but i could be wrong) use Ally poles, as clive said the push buttons are easily available from Kids micro scooters, even crutches have em, the brass bushings you could probably pick up in homebase or similar... same for the chain, hooks and the ring, although the ring through the poles may be a little bit of a head scratcher... :/ i love this idea i must say... good job clive... if it was only a one off i might need to look into fashioning myself one of these....
