To fulfill a promise, with a friend whom I had never met in the flesh, I arranged a meet at OML.

Ready for the off, (Bet your fed up with seeing a loaded canoe)

Sneaking up on the site, well you never know !

Renew Friendship, ( I know, I know, not again I hear you say )

The Canvas Cottage set up, ( Home at last )

Waiting for my Friend to arrive, he had no canoe, so I transported all his equipment to the camp site. In case you wonder where the pic was taken :-

No Not Canada ! ??

Now were talking, The Black Lion Consul.

Just Feeding my Dinner Whilst waiting ( Only joking about dinner )

Simple Hissing down, so left message on direction. Ian duly arrived and we set off for camp by this time we were both absolutely soaking wet through, My next comment is with all due respect, but I shouted, " Ok Graeme you have had your laugh now thats enough water to fill up your rivers ".
So back at camp we dried out and had a meal, before retiring for the night.

The Best sight ever. Sunrise beats all of your sunsets, Why ?? because its the start of a new day and your fortunate enough to see it.

For those of you that are wondering if the Mole is still in residence, the cheeky so and so came up to say hello just 10' from my entrance to the cottage. ( I will have Him, not for dinner mind )
I am condensing a 5 day 4 night trip so will skip a day or so, anyway on the Friday evening Tim and Mandy arrived not so much unexpected ( Due to weather ) but a pleasant surprise none the less.

Tim and Mandy quickly set up camp, I in the mean time got the Yukon set up and had got a fire going, Tim joined his Yukon with mine as he had bought a bag of logs, He then cooked his wife a lovely meal, and we all settled down to a few alcohol beverages.

Mandy falling asleep after a grueling week at work, AAhhh, Bless !

Tim in high spirits, or is it high on spirits.

Ian ( Wanderingstar ) in melancholy mood.

The next day after breakfast Tim and Mandy decided to explore up the River.

Bill, does the water level in the Caldon rise everytime you fill your boat with kit? Big Grin

Tim, I know Mandy is famous for her ability to nod off , but honestly mate you could've given her a nudge in this shot. Big Grin Big Grin

"Oi Mand, wake up, we're here!"

Send my best wishes to Ian will you, not seen him for ages
Hi All, well to continue with my TT, as said after Breakfast Tim and Mandy decided to explore up the river.

The Return from their adventure, about to enter the lock, Mandy about to tow Tims canoe into the lock.
I intervened and said not to worry, let Tim paddle his own canoe, as I would open the gates for them.

Tim and Mandy, then loaded their canoes ready for the off, then Tim said he was going to take Mandy for lunch at the Black lion,
and off they went, it was nice to see Tim again and it was my first meet with Mandy, ( Poor Girl ) don't think she will ever get over it.
Well Ian and I settled down to a quiet evening, The following morning after breakfast Ian started to pack in readiness for me to take him back to Consul, whilst packing up Graeme was having a play again, a shower here, then sun, and another shower lol.
Well I took Ian back down to the car park and saw him off, I had decided to stay another day at the site as my right hand was so swollen with Arthritis, and as I paddle starboard it was painful to paddle.

So all on my own again, except for my friend Mr Mole, Grrrrrrrrr

The next day Monday I packed up, the swelling in my hand had gone down a little so I phoned my daughter Sue and arranged my pick up at the mooring.

Loaded and ready for the off, Graeme had been having a bit of fun with me during my packing, but God bless him the rest of my journey back was in glorious sun shine.

A break at the Boat Inn.
Then on my way back, I made quite good time, even had help through on of the locks didn't even have to get out of my canoe.
Well thats about all folks, oh yeh suppose I had better show you my Bottom,

It was Tim, when the three canoes were together he said my bottom was nice, hardly any scratches on it, unlike his, lol.
It was a wet weekend but enjoyable nonetheless, it seemed so long since my last trip in April.

Well that really is it, hope you enjoyed the read and pics, more pics on Facebook and Photobucket, Bye for now,
Regards Bill

Cheers Tim, they will be very handy, was thinking for our friend Mr Mole to use them must be terrible dangerous down there you know without any safety equipment, don't want anyone reporting us for Health and Safety infringements.
Blowing his head off is one thing, as long as its done safely.
