With the drab, boring job that I do, and I'm sure many reading this could empathise (although not the lucky few), I was, and am, looking forward to this weekend.... (I'm writing this late on Friday night...
)
But I felt I needed a Kick Start to the weekend....
At around 14:00 today Muff sent a Letter of Love to Iain, via FaceTube, asking if he was still 'Oooop North' and if he fancied meeting up at Llangollen this evening, "To get Wet"...
Iain responded in the positive form, and we were on....
The Bob was swapped for 'The Pink Pestilence' at lunch time and the requisite gear thrown into the car.....
At 16:30 we were on our way, and by 17:05 we were in Paddlesport.. Iain was at the counter buying "Needful Things", and my eyes were wide open trying to decipher the difference between 'want' and 'need'...
OK, OK, so I came out the proud owner of what can only be described as a 'Romper Suit' , only a 5% discount though..(Crap if you ask me 
).....
Off we went and got on the water.....
Iain showed me his outfitting... and to be fair it's DARN good..
To explain, he's taken a Playboat (Kayak), ripped out the fittings, and put a saddle in, to convert it to a C1 Playboat.....(There is a thread hereabouts that the Mighty 'G' posted that'll take you right through the process if you're interested)
What happened....
We had a FANTASTIC few hours on the Dee.....
Lots and LOTS of rolls, and many more 'Whoop, Whoops'...
Every time I go out paddling with Iain his skills seem to have JUMPED another level..
