well i have decided to sell my venture ontario and buy a new canoe,
the ontario is a great boat, for lakes, however, its a bit hard to turn,
and i fancy something a bit more manouverable because i want to try some white water canoeing.

ive read reviews, and i am tempted to go for a solo canoe,
however i keep coming back to the same boat...
a we no nah prospector 15...

i paddled one of these once (thanks Lee) so i know how stable, and easy to turn they are,
i like the look of them too. however at the time, the price was the thing that made me buy the ontario,

i want a canoe that can do a bit of everything, although i will probably paddle lakes mostly...

i may turn up at the Sept meet with a new boat...

any thoughts appreciated...

regards
keith.
Go for it, the WP15 is a great flat bias allrounder and works well solo.

Buy and enjoyWave
I would wait untill the lakes meet BB and try a few boats out the prospectors tend to be a bit slow on the flat and tiresome for covering the miles. Get in touch with Graeme at YC and test some of his demos you will benafit from it rather than just taking the plunge and regreting it.Wink You can even get a go in the legend that is "Mr Slippy" Wink

ask lee to demo entry and exit of mr slippy Devil
Yes the quick entry and even quicker exit oh how I laugh when i think of him spluttering in the cold of Derwent water Tongue
BB, Be aware the new Wenonah P15 is a little narrower so the handling characteristics will differ some what, Graeme was telling about it recently, maybe worth dropping him a PM for all the details, I didn't take it all in, sorry.
Rolleyes How about a MR Explorer 14 or 15.

A Mad River Legend 15 makes a good all round boat as well
