Anyone know what the river levels are like on the Kent and Leven at the moment?
Trying to get an idea for Sunday 14th

Get hold of the regional phone numbers for the Environbment Agency and speak to the hydrology department. They have constant river level monitoring by telemetry to their mainframe system and most of the operators will let you know. If you find a good contact locally they can often look at all the gauging stations around the country! Sadly my contacts of yester year have retired. I shouldn't have written that I suddenly feel quite old.

I saw some paddlers on Mon, who had either been or were going to run the Leven at the falls. There wouldn't have been a great deal of water in it then. We've had no rain or snow since then and if anything, it's been a couple of degrees colder, so no extra run-off.
The Brathay pool freezing over on Mon but has thawed now. However, both the Brathay & Rothay have very little water in them at the moment and Windermere is high.

Well fingers crossed that the rain comes off the hill's and the snow melts quickly, time for
