Canoe with a View : : Canadian Open Canoe forum

We are offering a BCU 3* WW training and assessment course in either Canoe and/or Kayak.

The course will be based in North Derbyshire and will be a two day course (one day training and one day assessment) on the 17/18th January 2009 (non-residential).

Pre-reqs Canoe
Hold either the old or new 2* award in the craft of your choice
or
Provide evidence of at least one session of about 3 hours in an alternative craft
Provide evidence of at least 3 different journeys of at least 3 hours duration, at least one of these on open water.

Pre-reqs Kayak
Ideally be able to swim
Evidence of having paddled on grade 2 water
Will also need to show competence on simple piece of moving water up to and including Grade 2
Ideally hold the 2* award

Normal cost for this training and assessment would be £120.00 per head, but we are offering a New Year special offer.

We will be running a 3* SWWC and Kayak assessment in the next couple of months and there are 4 places left on it at the moment.

This will be a one day assessment at Matlock, please let us know if you are interested so we can arrange suitable dates.
