Hi CWaV

Could you think of a good place for a WW meet reasonably close to the Scottish border? I would drive down (border is 2 hours for me) to meet youse and paddle about.
Bear in mind that at this stage I won't paddle anything above grade 3, but I don't mind a few portages as I'm fairly fit.

I know it's a long shot, but if you don't try you don't getWhistleWhistle

Border Esk - Langholm to Canonbie.

Part way between Carlisle and Glasgow - perfect!

I'd be up for this, only since breaking my boat I only have one on loan from Yorkshire Canoes - which I'd rather not damage... By the end of March, maybe earlier, I will have my new boat - so will be up for a paddle then.
Could this fit in with the Loch Ken weekend?

Sean
Need to give my main man a week then i'll post our plans for first half of year.
Hi Erick

14/15th March is a OC1/Spec boat WW weekend in Teesdale area, not a million miles away Wink

Cheers Graeme
Cheers for the answers guys!
Things to ponder indeed.

Graeme, I have a family thing that weekend... but still trying to get out of it, so we never knowSpy duck
Hi Erick, we will be up your way Easter week at Grantully so may bump in to you if you are out and about, there are slalom events running both weekends though so not much chance of a paddle unless you fancy paddling C1 Slalom Wink

Cheers Graeme
I own an old C1!! Don't know that I would have the skills to take it down the river though. I don't know yet what's happening round that weekend but I'll keep this in mind Graeme!

Anyways, not paddled in 2 weeks since winter climbing conditions are outstanding at the moment.Tongue
