Who's got what?
Since I moved from the kayak to the canoe back in April I have been on 7 meets. Hooray.
On each meet, apart from the SotP Coniston, there has never been two canoes the same What is yours? Jamatrad - 13' Coleman, most of the aluminium stripped named Bath Tub - 15' Apache Green soon to be on route to a new owner - 16' Mohawk something or other on route from YC Green Gang, load the list as I am fascinated. RE: Who's got what?
Currently I have a Mega Outlander 14 Carbon Kevlar construction. Lovely boat tracks well yet turns easily. Oh and looks great.
A Pakboat Solo 15. See my review on here. I like this canoe. A Ranger 14. Outfitted for solo use. Great bombproof plastic construction. My rock hopping bandit run canoe. My first love. Never to be sold. A Dagger 15 in Royalite. My tandem vessel and sailing craft. Mainly used on the sea. The royalite marks just be looking at it. Hermes 15. (Mowhawk) Solo. Nice and swift but a little lively for me on white water. Fun to pole as it forces good balance. I am considering a spec boat. I also have 2 sea kayaks and a surf Kayak produced by Mega. |

RE: Who's got what?
I would like to be known as Jonny 5 canoes, but as my bank balance wont allow its Gav and "Mr Slippy" (Wenonah Argosy) all the way, he's never let me down once!

RE: Who's got what?
I'll be the odd one out as I don't have an open boat [the site header did say all welcome] I came back into paddling with a Sevylor Ranger Inflatable which I paddled with a single paddle - never seemed right with a double paddle.
![]() Served me well but I eventually decided to replace it with a folding boat. Eventually decided on a Folbot Yukon kayak which I occasionally paddle with a single paddle though it really demands kayak paddles. ![]() Suits the sort of paddling I enjoy and the space I have at home and seems to be tolerated by all you open boaters - at least you havn't sunk it yet.

Only the one, a Venture Ranger 14. I've done some canal and rivers in it and it suits me fine, i'm 6'4" and 19 stone.
When i can afford it, i would like a Mad River Outrage X. I'm going to ask santa as i crush him by sitting on his knee, you never know he might get me one just to get me off him !
I'm only happy, when it's raining |

RE: Who's got what?
When you own the the 'perfect' boat you only really need one; Wenonah Prospector 15' 'pre face-lift'
![]() If forced to change it would be a Wenonah Prospector 15' in Kevlar, that said I am quiter taken with the Mohawks, the XL15 but especially the solo 14, if only it had more rocker

RE: Who's got what?
Only the one, A 15' apache well pleased with it so far, it well outperforms my skill level (or should that be lack of skill level), I realise it won't tick all the boxes but for for what i intend to do its Bang On,
Andy.
