The "EarlySpring" family gathering in Wales is the first major meet-up of the season and already promises to be a well attended event. Lots of canoeing possibilities including Lake, river and white-water.
24th to 26th April 2009 at Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake), North Wales, staying at the 4 star camping and caravan park of Glanllyn. Access to the lake is available direct from the site.
Locally other than Bala there are paddling opportunities for both flat water paddlers at Lake Vyrnwy and for the thrill seekers is the National white water centre; Canolfan Tryweryn and the River Dee at Llangollen.
